Riverside House is just a stroll from the Roman Market town of Cirencester, with its ancient church and cobbled side streets. Within a 15 minute walk from Riverside, you will find the Corinium Museum, telling the history of our Roman town of Cirencester, the New Brewery Arts Centre boasting arts and crafts galore, Cirencester Park and the Roman Amphitheatre. The Parish Church of St. John the Baptist dominates the market place due to its 162 foot tall tower and is the largest in Gloucestershire. Constructed by stonemasons in an age when wealth and good taste went together it is one of the great wool churches, well worth a visit.
Cirencester is also within easy reach of the world famous Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury, a glorious sight at all times of the year, Keynes Country Park, set in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park, the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford which is home to a wide range of spectacular animals and Blenheim Palace in Woodstock to name but a few. Described by William Morris as 'the most beautiful village in England' Bibury is home to The Bibury Trout farm, a working farm which can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages, why not feed the fish, watch the trout and even have a try at catching your own!
